One person died, another was seriously injured and at least two horses were critically injured Sunday morning after a truck hauling a horse trailer crashed on southbound Interstate 71 near the Boone/Gallatin County line.
The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. when the truck crashed into a guard rail between the Ky. 14 and the U.S. 127 exit, Boone County dispatchers said. All southbound lanes of the interstate were closed for about two hours. One lane reopened near the accident about 10:30 a.m. More
