ATLANTA — A representative with Atlanta Public Schools told Channel 2 Action News a student at Carver High School was attacked by a pit bull on the school's campus Monday afternoon.
The APS official said the student was attacked on the school’s football field. The male student was transported to Grady Hospital after being bitten on the face.
The school and nearby Slater Elementary School were placed on lockdown after the attack, but it has since been lifted. More
