It takes teamwork to save kitten from storm drain

CLAYTON, N.C. — A student, a teacher, animal control officers and firefighters combined efforts on a rainy Monday morning to rescue a kitten from a Clayton storm drain.

Sara Tolley and her son, 4-year-old son Camden, heard the kitten's cries as they walked to his preschool at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church.

Camden asked his teacher to call police. Clayton Animal Control Officer Angela Lee responded to the call and knew she needed the help of the Town of Clayton Fire Department.  More
